From 1962 through 1964 I was in VW-4 as an ADR-3. Brother Tom was on flight crew. I remember Joshua Langfur, (sp) the CO, and Sidney Overall. I remember crew members joking about Sidney, they called him "Mr. Green Jeans." (never in disrespect, however) Good memories, for sure.

Hope many of you lucky live-5 flight crew are still alive and kicking. Some of the flight crew were Larry barefoot, chief Redding, Sid cloud, chief reed, Cdr Siverley and others. I enjoyed my tour with VW-4 and talk fondly of it. I still have my jump suit, flight jacket and hat from 45years ago & fits.
I have material from our Apollo 13 flight mission and what not. People still can not believe we used to do things like this. If you want to chat or know of an upcomming re-union, I would appreciate The heads up. You can reach me at 352-441-1315 or
Look forward to hearing from someone. I now live outside of Ocala Florida on a small horse farm.

Mr. Remington...I remember you well. A fine navigator and officer...our officers on crew 4 always did take good of us. I did not realize how intense the duties of a navigator could be until I observed you at work. Any contact with Commander Ashenbach. The best of luck to you indeed.

Fond memories of my tour with the Hunters from 69-71 as ATR3 and electronics shopkeeper. Fondest memory was being 'stuck' at seaside hotel in Barbados for a week waiting out a storm in South Carribean. With no money, but a great time! Scariest was watching #4 engine catch fire during takeoff.

My dad, Keith P. Collard, was a Hurricane Hunter in Jax in 1964-5ish. He could have been one in Puerto Rico two years prior also. We lived there but I was young and don't remember. He is gone and all his Navy Memorabilia was lost to an ex. ( I am going to try and get it back). Does anyone remember him or have photos? I have 3 sons and want them to know their grandpa...
